Many people dream of owning a business, but figuring out how to get started can be one of the hardest steps. I offer a free consultation to learn if franchising is right for you. I have run a successful franchise business myself and worked with many franchise owners, and I now work with FranNet to help future business owners get started.
Step 1: Understand your goals, strengths, and passions. I use a proprietary tool developed by FranNet called the Personal Franchise Assessment to help understand what you are looking for in a business. It looks at your business goals, work style, and investment level. You can fill this out anytime that you are ready to get started.
Step 2: Identify potential franchise opportunities. We will meet to review your Personal Franchise Assessment together, and choose some franchises that fit your lifestyle and financial goals. I only work with franchises that have been thoroughly vetted by FranNet, so we only look at ones that have availability in your area and have growth opportunity. We won’t waste time on underperforming opportunities.
Step 3: Due diligence. For the franchises that you are most interested in, I will connect you with the franchisor. You will be able to dig deeper, ask questions, review the Franchise Disclosure Document, and understand their business model. If it looks like it might be a match, you can speak with other franchisees who are already in business. This process let’s you understand what it’s like to own that business, before you even get started. This is not something you can do when you try to start a business on your own!
Step 4: Discovery day. If a franchise seems like a good match, you will travel to their headquarters to meet with their executive and support team. This is a time for both of you to get to know each other, to decide if you want a business partnership. If it’s a go, then you’ll sign the franchise agreement and get ready to open your business!
